Meet the Woman Behind the Lens

My name is Kie and I am North Carolina Native. I am 32 years young and I fell in love with Photography more than a decade ago! I have a degree in Digital Photography from Living Arts College. My brand formed in 2013 when I graduated from the private college based in Raleigh, NC. My passion is a licensed business and I became a published photographer in 2019.

My first point and shoot was a pink canon digital camera. Later in college, I purchased my first DSLR camera; which was a Nikon. (That moment I knew I was with Nikon for life)

During that time studying at Living Arts College, I learned the whole Adobe Suite; I am proficient at (but always learning) Lightroom & Photoshop. When I pick up my Nikon, I get a natural high and a big smile on my face. The feeling I get from photographing others and nature can't be described. Photography is a natural gift and I thank God for it every day. I'm a natural light enthusiast. I like to capture the rawness of life at its finest and I enjoy those candid shots of people when they are most comfortable and real.

My style of photography is a raw form with natural lighting but also artificial lighting was introduced to my palette later on and now studio lighting has broadened my realm. I produce clean cut images with vibrant colors and vivid concepts. I specialize in editorial & urban portraits. I enjoy creating sets for my clients. Any chance I get, I will head outdoors or to my creative space and start creating to keep the box open. This is what I am meant to do and I will never stop. I love the feeling it gives me and the joy I give my clients. I love photography more than words can explain.

My Process

I like making each session personal for my client. I listen, observe, then create sets to fit and balance out the concept.
